The first thing you’ll notice is the unique shape and size of the Horizon Reflector. Measuring just 260mm x 210mm x 115mm, this wide angle reflector has been designed to throw light out, rather than down, making it an ideal choice for those after supplemental lighting. Even though it can emit enough light to cover a grow room size of 1.2m x 2.4m, to get the very best out of the space, and light, it’s recommended that the Maxibright Horizon sits in-between 2 x standard 600w HPS lights, or better still, use 3 x Maxibright Horizon Daylight kits for optimum light coverage.
With a Maxibright Daylight 315 watt ballast, there’s only really one choice of grow lamp and that’s the Philips CDM (Ceramic Discharge Metal-Halide) which emits a high PAR output of intense, bright light with a broad spectrum that’s incredibly close to the natural sun. There’s also 2 options of Philips CDM grow lamps, the MasterColour 942 Daylight that has an increased blue spectrum for improved vegetative growth or the GreenPower 930 Elite Agro with an increased red spectrum to help boost flowering.
